Ameriabank bringing banknote neutralization systems to ATMsDecember 27, 2016 - 17:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank is installing intelligent banknote neutralization systems (IBNS) in its cash machines around Armenia in order to prevent the theft of banknotes through physical damage. The IBNS is among the most efficient systems currently in use globally. In the event of unauthorised access to the cash machines, the system stains the money with a permanent dye. The installation of the security systems is performed in two stages. Specific measures are now underway in those Ameriabank ATMs that are situated in the most at-risk areas, while all the other cash machines, regardless of location, will be equipped with the systems in the second stage of the program. In connection with the installation process, some of the ATMs may stop working for a short period of time. The move comes after two cases of ATM robbery, registered in the Armenian capital city of Yerevan in mid-December. Ameriabank is a universal bank providing investment, corporate and retail banking services in a comprehensive package of banking solutions. It is the first investment bank in Armenia which has been providing a wide range of innovative banking services since 2008.
