“The Walking Dead” showrunner promises different vibe in season 7B

PanARMENIAN.Net - Those who were frustrated with how "The Walking Dead" season 7 has been going on so far can expect a positive change when the show returns next year. It's showrunner Scott M. Gimple himself who teased the different "vibe" in season 7B, AceShowbiz said.

"I will say 7B's vibe is very different from 7A's vibe," he told ComicBook.com. "The ending of 7B is very different than the beginning of 7A." He added, "It's just a very, very different half season than the half season that preceded it."

"Even with structure, what we're doing right now with the episodes and seeing where everyone is at, the structure is very, very different than the back half. There's a lot more variety to the structure," Gimple went on explaining.

This difference is likely caused by the change of attitude of the main character, Rick Grimes, which was hinted at the end of the midseason finale after he's reunited with Daryl and Maggie. As seen in a preview for the second half of the season, Rick plans to fight back instead of succumbing to Negan's oppression.

Gimple who also executive produces the zombie drama series hinted at some big moments in the new episodes, "I will say episodes eight through sixteen -- I'm more excited than I've ever been before, just where the story is headed. Eight and nine are unbelievable. Unbelievable. They're some of the best episodes I've read and when I was filming, it just got bigger and more epic and more insane every day that we shot."

"The Walking Dead" returns with the remainder of season 7 beginning Sunday, February 12, 2017 on AMC.
