“Twin Peaks” gets new chilling teaser featuring Kyle MacLachlan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Showtime has released a new chilling teaser for "Twin Peaks" revival to hype up the show's long-awaited return, AceShowbiz reports. It offers a glimpse of Kyle MacLachlan, who reprises his role as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, along with shots of the woods in the dark.

The limited event series picks up twenty-five years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. David Lynch, who co-created the series, returns to direct all 18 episodes of the revival.

Showtime president and CEO David Nevins said at the Television Critics Association winter press tour earlier this week that it's "about Agent Cooper's odyssey back to Twin Peaks" and teased an "emotional" story that would ground the 18-hour run.

Sheryl Lee and Sherilyn Fenn are also returning, while Balthazar Getty, Amanda Seyfried, Laura Dern and Robert Knepper are tapped as new additions to the cast. The new "Twin Peaks" will premiere Sunday, May 21 at 9/8c with a two-hour opener.
