British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran recalls his adolescence memories in a new video for "Castle on the Hill" off his highly anticipated album "Divide (division sign)". Directed by George Belfield, the clip clearly reflects the song's lyrics, AceShowbiz said.

Shot entirely in Sheeran's hometown of Framlingham in Suffolk, England, the video takes us back to the time when a young Sheeran rolled in a mountain grass and sped down country lanes with his brother and friends. The clip goes on to reenact the verses of the song, such as when the singer was driving down the road with his mates while singing "Tiny Dancer", or when he got his first kiss and heart broken.

The nostalgic video, which was released on Monday morning, January 23, also features scenes where the young Sheeran is hanging at clubs, wandering misty hills, partying around a bonfire and playing pool with his mates. The shots of youthful memories are intercut with clips of the real, full-grown Sheeran who is seen driving through a foggy countryside to reunite with his childhood friends.

The nearly-five-minute video stars a young redheaded actor to depict Sheeran's younger self. According to USA Today, the 25-year-old singer visited his high school Thomas Mills to scout his doppelganger. Prior to releasing the video, Sheeran took to Twitter to tease the clip and he jokingly said that the actor who played his younger self could have been his brother from another mother. "I have a feeling my dad had a bit of fun a couple years after I was born," he said.
