PanARMENIAN.Net - Lady GaGa is planning for another big Sunday after her spectacular Super Bowl performance. The Mother Monster will join Metallica onstage at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, which is set to take place on Sunday, February 12, AceShowbiz reports.
On Monday, a GaGa fan site tweeted a snippet of a Grammy promo clip. "Lady Gaga is set to perform with Metallica at the #GRAMMYs this Sunday, February 12th!" so the account wrote alongside the clip that features a scene where GaGa shares frame with the legendary metal band.
GaGa is a regular performer at the music's biggest night as she appeared at the ceremony last year to pay tribute to David Bowie. Meanwhile, Metallica last performed at the show in 2014, when they performed their classic song "One" with famous concert pianist Lang Lang. Last month, the band teased that they would give "something very unique and special" for this year's Grammy performance.
"It's been three years since we were lucky enough to participate in the awards show when we last performed with world-renowned Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang and we're thrilled to be asked back," the band wrote in a statement. "We have something very unique and special planned for this celebratory night."
In addition to GaGa and Metallica, country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerini and Danish soul band Lukas Graham will make their debut performances at this year's Grammys. Also joining the lineup are Demi Lovato, Andra Day and Tori Kelly, who will collaborate with Little Big Town for a special collaborative performance that honors the Bee Gees and celebrates the 40th anniversary of "Saturday Night Fever".
The aforementioned performers join a growing list of musicians who are slated to take the stage, including Beyonce Knowles, Katy Perry, The Weeknd, Adele, Daft Punk, Alicia Keys, John Legend and more. James Corden will host the annual award-giving show, which will be broadcast live from Los Angeles' Staples Center on CBS at 8 P.M. ET.
