Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line tenser than usual over weekend

PanARMENIAN.Net - The situation along the line of contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan was tenser than usual on February 12 and the night through February 13.

Around 80 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered on the contact line with Karabakh in the reporting period.

Azeri forces, in particular, used various caliber firearms, D-44 divisional guns and grenade launchers to fire more than 950 shots.

Also, they employed 60- and 82-mm mortars in the north and south of the frontline.

The Karabakh Defense Army forces continued controlling the contact line and retaliated to suppress the rival's attacks.
