Europe interested in stability in South Caucasus
Unsettlement of conflicts in the South Caucasus has numerous negative consequences, EU Envoy for South Caucasus, Mr Peter Semneby said in Yerevan today.

A new generation, which eyes citizens of the neighbor states as enemy, is growing up in the South Caucasian states and this fact complicates the possibility of resolving the conflicts, he said.

Europe is interested in stability and peace in the region, whose role grows year by year. Consequently, the EU is interested in resolution of conflicts and establishment of neighborly relations between the states, according to him.

"Although the European Union is not directly engaged in settlement processes, it supports endeavors taken in this direction. The EU assistance supposes establishment of information centers, infrastructure rehabilitation projects and trust building measures," he said, IA Regnum reports.
