Janelle Monae new frontrunner to play Domino in “Deadpool 2”

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new candidate to play Domino in "Deadpool 2" emerges. According to The Hashtag Show, Janelle Monae is circling the role of the female mutant with telekinetic powers. Other rumored frontrunners are MacKenzie Davis and Kerry Washington, AceShowbiz said.

Monae is a singer/songwriter first before she is branching out into acting. The Grammy-nominated artist recently starred in two critic darlings "Hidden Figures" and "Moonlight". Both receive multiple nominations at the Academy Awards, and "Moonlight" won Oscars' Best Picture.

The much-anticipated "Deadpool" sequel is due sometime in 2018. Ryan Reynolds is set to reprise his role as the Merc with a Mouth. "Stranger Things" actor David Harbour is reportedly eyed to play Cable. David Leitch is attached to serve behind the lens, replacing Tim Miller who helmed the first film.
