Armenian President Robert Kocharian met today with FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter and UEFA President Michel Platini, the RA leader's press office reported.

Mr Kocharian welcomed implementation of FIFA-assisted programs aiming at development of football in Armenia.

Joint work has already produced little but obvious effect, he said.

Each victory strengthens the will to indulge in this kind of sports. Aspiration is a good precondition for success, he added.

For his part, Mr Blatter noted that the Armenian Football Federation carries out a significant work for development of football and other kinds of sports in the republic's regions and voiced readiness to contribute to Armenian initiatives.
