Rajab Safarov: Turkey is not Iran's friend
Iran is cautiously watching developments in Turkey, General Director of the Center of Studies of Modern Iran, Rajab Safarov said when commenting on Turkish parliament's approval of a measure that clears the way for its military to cross Iraq's northern border to root out Kurdish insurgents there.

"Iran's doesn't back Turkey's decision and rates it as "unjustified and not meeting international norms" and prepares for flows of refugees. Turkey is not a friendly state for Iran. It's an opponent and economic rival. Presently, western states can get access to Iran through Turkey only," Safarov said, the Russian News Service reported.
