Armenia ruling party confirms discussing cooperation with ARFD

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is negotiating the issue of distributing positions in the National Assembly with partners from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation - Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), RPA spokesman, deputy parliament speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said, according to Aysor.am.

“RPA and Dashnaktsutyun are discussing future cooperation, we’ll let you know once talks are over,” Sharmazanov confirmed to a group of reporters after an RPA Executive Body session.

The spokesman also ruled out discussion on who will assume the role of the prime minister, saying that “it’s out of the question, Karen Karapetyan will further head the government.”

Earlier, ARFD faction leader Armen Rustamyan said Dashnaktsutyun was negotiating with RPA over “taking cooperation between the two forces to a whole new level.”
