NATO exercise to be held in Armenia August-September 2008

PanARMENIAN.Net - NATO exercise will be held in Armenia in August-September 2008, RA Defense Minister Mikael Harutyunyan said at a joint news conference with his Lithuanian counterpart Juozas Olekas.



"We discussed cooperation within NATO. As Lithuania is a NATO member state, there is an agreement to take on the tasks Armenia is carrying out. Lithuania will participate in the NATO exercise due in Armenia," the Armenian Minister said, Novosti Armenia reports.



October 23, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe complied with Armenia's application for conduction of exercise within Partnership for Peace NATO program.
