RA parliament approves state budget for 2008November 28, 2007 - 14:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - With a vote 82 to 2 and 8 abstentions, the Armenian parliament approved the state budget for 2008. The reviewed budget provides for 766,3, billion AMD ($2,529 billion) income, 842,3 billion AMD ($2,78 billion) expenditure. Deficit will make 76 billion AMD ($261 million).According to the Minister of Finance and Economy, Vardan Khachatryan, the government received 331 proposals from the MPs, 144 were admitted. The tax taking tends to increase with 2 billion AMD bringing the tax specific weight in the GDP up to 17%. At that 79,9% of income will be provided by tax and duty. Dram-to-dollar rate was fixed at 325,16/1. Dram-to-euro rate was fixed at 469,76/1, IA Regnum reports.
