Armenia's Levan Baerianidze wins world wrestling bronze

PanARMENIAN.Net - Levan Berianidze of Armenia earned his first senior world medal by capturing bronze on Friday, August 25 at the 2017 UWW World Wrestling Championships in Paris.

The 26-year-old athlete defeated Anzor Khizriev of Russia as Geno Petriashvili of Georgia clinched 125kg freestyle wrestling title.

Grigor Grigoryan (74kg) and Georgy Ketoyev (97kg), both representing Armenia, will enter the tournament on Saturday and are set to start from the qualification round.

Armenia has already won two gold medals at the men's Greco-Roman event.
