Armenian Relief Society joins Hurricane Harvey relief effortSeptember 1, 2017 - 18:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Relief Society of Eastern USA in a statement shared the grief of those affected by Hurricane Harvey and announced that it is joining the relief effort aimed at help those affected by the disaster. "For more than 107 years, assisting people in times of need has been the very essence of the Armenian Relief Society (ARS). In response to Hurricane Harvey, the ARS of Eastern USA has sent a direct donation to Americare for Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts," the ARS said. "We urge our friends and supporters in the Armenian community to do the same." The Armenian Relief Society is a non-profit, non-governmental organization on the Roster in Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
