RA first President's team announces victory

PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of Levon Ter-Petrosyan's headquarters, Alexander Arzumanyan said today in Yerevan that "we won the presidential election in Armenia."



"We won the elections despite all efforts of the cleptocratic regime. This is the popular victory and I want to congratulate our people," he said. "The authorities will do their best to mar the elections but people know the reality."



According to Gevorg Melikyan, deputy chair of Alliance civil initiative, which conducted exit-poll, Levon Ter-Petrosyan is leading the race with 37,7% of votes.



"3055 people were questioned at 100 polling stations. Serzh Sargsyan garnered some 35,4%. Then come Artur Baghdassaryan with 15,5%, Vahan Hovhannisian with 6.4%, Vazgen Manukyan with 2,9%, Artashes Geghamyan with 1,3%, Tigran Karapetyan with 1,2%, Arman Melikyan with 0,2%," he said.



Tomorrow, Levon Ter-Petrosyan's supporters are gathering at Matenadarn at 3 p.m. "to celebrate their shattering victory."
