Armenian President Robert Kocharian congratulated Dmitry Medvedev on election President of Russia, the RA leader's press office reported.

The congratulatory address says, in part, "I congratulate you on victory in the presidential election. Armenia appreciates the partner relations and strategic cooperation our states enjoy. I am confident that our nations will cement friendly ties and expand mutually beneficial cooperation. I would like to thank you for your contribution to development of the Armenian-Russian relations and voice assurance that you will continue to promote them."
