State of emergency lifted in YerevanMarch 21, 2008 - 13:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The 20-day state of emergency was lifted today in Yerevan.Yesterday, President Kocharian said imposition of state of emergency prevented a grave popular shock. "No violations were fixed during the past 20 days. I am hopeful that no incidents will follow," the President said, adding that law enforcers will prevent unauthorized protest actions. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
