Some "influential representatives" of al Qaeda terrorist organization were detained in Azerbaijan. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, Azeri leader Heydar Aliyev stated it at the meeting with chiefs of law-enforcement departments of CIS countries participating in the recurrent meeting of the CIS Council of the ministers of interior. At the same time he emphasized the necessity of developing cooperation of CIS countries in struggle against international terrorism, as well as drug business and other kinds of transnational crimes.
