Henrikh Mkhitaryan offers injury update in Christmas message

PanARMENIAN.Net - Arsenal star and captain of the Armenian national squad Henrikh Mkhitaryan says he is "coming back stronger" from injury in a Christmas Day message to fans.

Mkhitaryan has suffered a fractured metatarsal and will be out for six weeks.

In a medical update on the Arsenal website, they said: “Henrikh Mkhitaryan - Right foot. Fractured metatarsal.

“Expected to return to full training in six weeks.”

Smiling at the camera, he wrote: "Really touched by all your wishes for a prompt recovery.

"Thank you Fans! Coming back stronger."

The message was well received by Arsenal fans, who are keen for the Gunners to kick on after an excellent start to the season.
