"Game of Thrones" fan predicts serious twist in season 8

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Game of Thrones" season 8 is upon us and it seems Daenerys Targaryen could be about to receive a big shock by none other than Sansa Stark, Express says.

"Game of Thrones" fans are expecting plenty of twists and turns in the coming eighth season.

The upcoming final season is highly-anticipated as fans wait to see who will come out on the Iron Throne.

HBO released a tantalising first look at the season in a short but sweet video.

During the clip, Sansa Stark (played by Sophie Turner), welcomes Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) to Winterfell.

She has Jon Snow (Kit Harington) at her side and it all seems to be going well.

Sansa seems to be fairly happy with the pair, and says to them: “Winterfell is yours, your grace.”

Although the clip cuts out there, Reddit users think they’ve worked out what comes next - and it’s bad news for Daenerys.

gingerbeard81 writes how the next words will be “King Aegon”.

"Game of Thrones" fans will recall Jon is actually not a bastard, and actually has legitimate Stark and Targaryen blood.

He was taken from his mother, Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi), moments before her death following her romantic liaisons with Rhaegar Targaryen (Wilf Scolding).

It is believed Jon was named Aegon by his true parents, before having his identity hidden.

However, the Reddit poster thinks Sansa will be told his real heritage and will immediately bow to him.

They wrote: “I am assuming that Sansa learns of Jon’s lineage before his return, which is a pretty big assumption.

“My basis for this is that after seven seasons, we know reliably that whenever it's very very important that a character keep something a secret, it almost never remains a secret.”

They go on to theorise whether Sansa’s brother, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) or Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) will be the ones to break the news or if she will over hear them chatting and discover the truth.

The forum author continued: “Now, I'm not saying that Sansa will be openly hostile to Dany, or ignore the fact that she has two massive dragons and is making googly eyes at Jon.

“I just think that this scene in the trailer seemed a bit too neat, and the showrunners would love to add a little shade into the mix to add more stakes, drama, and comedy.

“When she throws everyone off balance, she'll immediately follow up with a ‘we have much to discuss’, and then they'll hammer things out in Winterfell.”

Will Sansa be the one to drop the most shocking twist of the series?

"Game of Thrones" season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
