I highly appreciate French President Jacques Chirac's efforts directed towards peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Azeri President Heydar Aliyev stated it at the meeting with director of the Institute of International Relations of France Tierry De'Montbrillant. In the course of the meeting the interlocutors also concerned the topic of the negotiations between the Azeri and Armenian leaders held early last year in Paris. "Although the conflict is not settled so far, we are working in that direction, and I specially stress the activity of France in that direction," - the Azeri President noted.
