The move comes after the cabinet of ministers approved VAT exemption for electric motor vehicles and motorcycles (non-hybrid) starting from July 1, 2019. The decision will be effective until July 1, 2022. According to the document approved by the government, the bill seeks to promote the use of electric cars in order to help curb air pollution.
