Two Armenian artists named judges on CBS global talent show

PanARMENIAN.Net - CBS on Friday, January 25 announced the group of celebrated international experts - including two Armenians - who will help determine who ultimately wins the new global competition series The World's Best.

Well known Armenian creative director and choreographer Arthur Gourounlian is among the group of 50 experts.

Hosted by Emmy Award winner James Corden, the series is a one-of-a-kind talent competition featuring elite acts from around the globe competing for a $1 million prize and the title of THE WORLD'S BEST. The acts not only have to impress the all-star line-up of American judges Drew Barrymore, RuPaul Charles and Faith Hill, but they will also need to break through the "wall of the world," featuring more than 50 renowned experts from 38 different countries.

Gourounlian is best known for his skills of combining Contemporary, Hip/Hop-Funk, Popping, Robotics with, Tap, Ballet, Ballroom, and Jazz.

He has performed and toured with famous artists like Bananarama, Beyonce, Pink, Pussycat Dolls, Girls Aloud, Will Young, and Duffy to Kylie Minogue, Cheryl Cole, and Leona Lewis.

Also included in the group of 50 judges is Essaï Altounian, a French-Armenian singer, songwriter, keyboardist, music producer and an actor.

Gourounlian and Altounian represent Armenia and France, respectively.
