Armenia is for package solution of the Nagorno Karabakh problem, as the stepwise variant can cause further difficulties. Armenian defense minister Serge Sargsian said this upon the completion of the negotiations between the Armenian and Azeri Presidents near Sadarak village next to the border. At the same time he emphasized that Yerevan was not for solving the problem via military means. The minister noted that in case of resumption of hostilities "there will be more losses than before, as Armenia and Azerbaijan have a prepared army now." Serge Sargsian did not agree with the opinion that the OSCE Minsk group mediation was ineffective. In his words, there have been no military operations in the course of the recent 8 years, and this fact speaks in favor of the mediation efforts. "Finally, the solution will be found and the parties will follow the peaceful path," - the minister considers.
