ARMENIA TO GET QUOTA FOR A FEW MILLION BARRELS OF IRAQI OIL
The Iraqi government has expressed its intention to give Armenia an oil quota of a few million barrels. As reported by Armenian parliament deputy, chairman of the Armenian-Iraqi deputy group Ghukas Urikhanian to "Arminfo" agency, Armenia will be given the opportunity to acquire the Iraqi oil within the framework of "Food in exchange for oil" program. In Urikhanian's words, within the framework of the same program the Iraqi government has already allotted 2 million barrels of oil to "Ambulance" Armenian organization. As Urikhanian asserts, such actions of the Iraqi government are evidence of that country's intention to establish close political-economic relations with Armenia.
