Today Armenian-Russian command staff military exercises began at the training ground near the Armenian city of Gyumri. The 5-th army corps of the Armenian armed forces, as well as the subdivision of the Russian armed forces stationed in Armenia participate in the maneuvers. Deputy minister of defense of Armenia lieutenant general Manvel Grigorian supervises the tactic exercises. Within the framework of the exercises imitation of air fight will be held in Armenia for the first time. Armenian President Robert Kocharian, defense minister Serge Sargsian, as well as the military attaches of the US, French, Iranian and other diplomatic representations' accredited in Armenia will be present at the Armenian-Russian military maneuvers.
