All international law principles equal in resolution of conflicts

PanARMENIAN.Net - The best way to resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict is a political dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, a senior Romanian official said.

"The principle of territorial integrity is one of the fundamental principles of the international law. Nevertheless, the Helsinki Final Act contains 10 principles and the right of nations to self-determination is one of them. So, both principles are vital for resolution of conflicts, Romanian Foreign Minister Lazar Comanescu said when responding to a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter's question during a joint news conference with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian.

Mr. Comanescu appreciated highly the declaration on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict signed by the Presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia.

For his part, Minister Nalbandian remarked that all principles of the international law envisaged by the UN Convention are equal.
