BAKU PURPOSEFULLY DELAYS NEGOTIATION PROCESS ON NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT
Azerbaijan purposefully delays the negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement. Famous Russian political scientist Andranik Mihranian, who is in Nagorno-Karabakh these days on a short visit, has stated that in his interview with "De-Facto" agency. At that, Mihranian noted, Baku has several objectives at the same time. First, Azeri party thinks Russian presence in the region apparently would decrease and the Turkish one will increase in the course of time and the oil companies in the state will create a favorable atmosphere that will let Azerbaijan enjoy the support of the West. They in Baku also think their positions: both political and economic will become stronger in time and that might enable Azerbaijan to become stronger in military aspect and some time or other they would try to settle the issue through economic or political pressure, the political scientist noted.
