CSTO Defense Ministers meet in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization met in Yerevan today to discuss further activities.



"Armenia has already signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation with Belarus and Russia. We also plan to discuss the project of regional air defense system," Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan told a news conference.



"Training of the personnel is also on focus and our action plans will help raise the level of battle training," commented his Russian counterpart Anatoly Serdyukov.



For his part, CSTO Secretary-General Nikolay Bordyuzha emphasized that all CSTO member countries support's Russia's stand on CFE.



Today's meeting brought together Defense Ministers from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
