Vahan Hovhannisian: NKR army guarantor of Karabakh security
Armenia appreciates highly the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group for prevention of resumption of hostilities and resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Nevertheless, the only real guarantor of Karabakh people's security is the NKR Defense Army, an Armenian MP said.
"The Karabakh army compelled the Azeri side to peace and ceasefire. It stopped the war," head of ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary faction Vahan Hovhannisian said.
Commenting on cooperation within international structures, Mr. Hovhannisian said that delegations from post-soviet states do not always support each other. "There were moments when the Armenian delegation engaged in a straight fight with the Azeri and Turkish delegations while representatives of other CIS countries left the site," he said.
