RA Defense Ministry, ICRC signed cooperation agreement on humanitarian law

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan met Monday with Mr. James Reynolds, head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Delegation to Armenia, the Minister's spokesman, colonel Seyran Shahsuvaryan told PanARMENIAN.Net



Minister Ohanyan appreciated highly the IRCC activities in Armenia.



Upon conclusion of a cooperation agreement on humanitarian law, the Minister noted that this collaboration is essential to maintain the supreme cultural values declared by Armenian government.



He also pointed out to the agreements signed between the ICRC and the Armenian Committee on POWs and Missing.



"Armenia has always showed good will in humanitarian law-related issues, supporting values that constitute the basis of ICRC activities, Minister Ohanyan said.
