  Pashinyan, Putin discuss Karabakh hostilities again October 7, 2020 - 16:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held another telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, October 7. Pashinyan congratulated Putin on his birthday. Extending warmest wishes on this occasion, he wished the Russian President every success in implementing the high mission as head of state, Pashinyan office reveals. As they discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, the two stressed the need for the cessation of hostilities as soon as possible. Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey, launched a large-scale offensive against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27, shelling Armenian positions and civilian settlements with large caliber weapons and rocket systems. Armenia and Karabakh have introduced martial law and total mobilization. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. International and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.
