Sergey Khachatryan donates La Scala concert fee for Karabakh children

PanARMENIAN.Net - Renowned violinist Sergey Khachatryan has donated his entire concert fee to the relief fund for Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) children by joining the Armenian Assembly's humanitarian initiative, according to a Facebook post from the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

On October 11, the legendary Teatro alla Scala di Milano hosted the concert of Khachatryan together with the Filarmonica della Scala.

the artist joined the Armenian Assembly's humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting Artsakh's children and transferred his concert fee to Assembly's relief fund.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.

Donations can be made to Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, which has launched a fundraising campaign to support humanitarian efforts in Karabakh.
