Karabakh reports local battles in all directions of the frontline

PanARMENIAN.Net - Local battles are taking place in all directions of the Nagorno-Karabakh frontline as of Friday, October 23 morning. The Defense Army troops continue the operations of detecting and destroying hostile subversive groups consisting of mercenary terrorists.

At the moment, a number of villages in Karabakh's Martuni region, including Karmir Shuka (Red Market), are being shelled with Smerch rocket launchers.

The situation was relatively calm if tense overnight, with artillery duels and skirmishes reported in some areas.

In the evening, in a blatant violation of the norms of international humanitarian law, the Azerbaijani forces shelled Askeran. Towards midnight, they also targeted other settlements too.

The night of October 22-23 was restless in Martakert and Martuni regions.

Two apartments of a residential house were engulfed in flames due to the shelling of the city of Martakert. The firefighters of the city's regional emergency department managed to extinguish the fire quickly, preventing it from spreading to other apartments.

According to preliminary data, the Azeri forces opened fire in this direction using Grad rockets.

There were no human losses.

Towards dawn, the villages of Karmir Shuka and Taghavard in the Martuni region appeared in the crosshairs of Azerbaijani gunners. Smerch missiles were used here.
