Intense fighting reported in Karabakh's south

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Ministry representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan said Friday, October 30 afternoon that intense fighting is taking place in the south of the front in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Karabakh Defense Army said earlier that the Armenian troops continued reconnaissance and fire engagement operations to eliminate Azerbaijani groups, thanks to which a large amount of the enemy's ammunition and manpower were destroyed overnight.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.
