11 more Karabakh troops killed in fighting Azeri aggression![]() November 2, 2020 - 17:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Defense Army of Nagorno Karabakh has reported 11 more deaths in fighting against Azerbaijan. Since September 27, when Azerbaijan started the war against Karabakh, 1177 Armenian soldiers have been killed. A humanitarian ceasefire was supposed to come into effect on October 26 but Azerbaijan launched a new offensive and has been shelling Karabakh positions and settlements. Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages. ![]() ![]() Gegham Stepanyan has said at at least two civilians, including one child, have been killed in Azerbaijani assault. The ICRC said on September 18 that it had sent humanitarian convoys to Nagorno-Karabakh from Armenia and Azerbaijan simultaneously. The Azerbaijani military employed drones and mortars near the village of Sotk, Gegharkunik province, the Defense Ministry of Armenia reports.
