PanARMENIAN.Net - Air-defense units of Armenia have downed four drones belonging to the Azerbaijani army in the province of Gegharkunik, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan said Wednesday, November 3.

The drones were destroyed near the village of Shatjrek, the settlements of Mets-Masrik and Sotk and the village of Akunk.

Since the beginning of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan has used drones to target civilian settlements and positions in Armenia as well, which has resulted in deaths and injuries.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and terrorist mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.
