Armenian military official: Fighting continues near Shushi

PanARMENIAN.Net - Fighting continues near the city of Shushi, Armenian Defense Ministry representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan said Friday, November 6 morning.

The subversive groups of the Azerbaijani military launch attacks in the direction of the city but the Karabakh Defense Army units thwart them back.

The Azeri forces have also been targeting Stepanakert, the capital, firing cluster munitions on residential areas.

Throughout the day, rockets have landed on houses and areas adjacent to buildings, damaging roofs and balconies and smashing windows.

No casualties have been reported.

Three civilians – an elderly woman and her two grandsons – were killed in Azerbaijan's shelling of Stepanakert overnight.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and terrorist mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.
