Karabakh troops repel Azerbaijan's attempts to advance towards Shushi

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Nagorno-Karabakh troops repelled Azerbaijan's multiple attempts to advance towards Shushi overnight, the Defense Army reported on Sunday, November 8.

On the night of November 7–8, battles of varying intensity went on in all directions of the front line.

During fighting, a large number of troops as well as 4 tanks, 20 armoured vehicles, 11 logistics vehicles and 2 UAVs belonging to the Azerbaijani military were destroyed.

The Azerbaijanis also targeted both the capital Stepanakert and the city of Shushi with missiles, damaging civilian infrastructure. No casualties have been reported.

At dawn, groupings of enemy equipment and personnel were observed in the south-eastern and northeastern parts of the front line. The Defense Army is in full control of the tactical situation, suppressing enemy fire.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and terrorist mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.
