My Step: Opposition must renounce Russian mediation in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's My Step bloc declared on Wednesday, November 11 that the opposition should declare that they are in favor of canceling the Russian mediation, the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from the Nagorno-Karabakh line of contact, and the continuation of the war.

The ruling bloc's statement comes amid the opposition's demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan after he signed a deal with Russia and Azerbaijan to end the war in Nagorno-Karabakh by ceding land to Baku.

My Step said the public should get answers to all the questions, but that they are not going to take part in anything aimed at destabilizing Armenia, endangering the front and the lives of the people there.

"The opposition must also present the roadmap for victory in the proposed resumption of war," the bloc said, adding that the deal signed by Pashinyan was the only way to avoid the complete loss of Artsakh and thousands of victims.

Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev have signed a deal to end the war in Karabakh after 44 days. Karabakh (Artsakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan said on Tuesday that he has agreed to the deal signed by Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan.
