Azerbaijan re-launches offensive operations in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan on Saturday, December 12 re-launched offensive operations near the villages of Hin Taghlar and Khtsaberd, which have remained under the Armenian side's control after a 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to a report from the Karabakh Defense Army, the Armenian forces are taking "adequate measures"

The Defense Army reported earlier on Saturday that Azerbaijani troops attempted to attack in the direction of one of Karabakh's southern positions on Friday. Three Armenian reservists have received gunshot wounds.

An investigation into the details of the incident is underway.

A trilateral statement on the cessation of hostilities was signed on November 9, after 44 days of intense war. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
