More French cities recognize Karabakh independence

PanARMENIAN.Net - French cities are continuing to express support for Nagorno-Karabakh, recognizing its independence and expressing solidity with its people.

According to the Foreign Ministry of Artsakh, the Council of Montpellier has adopted a resolution calling for recognition of Karabakh.

The Municipal Council of the French city of Clamart, meanwhile, passed a resolution in support of Artsakh, calling on the French President to recognize the Republic of Artsakh.

The Foreign Ministry said Thursday, December 17 that the French city of Sarcelles, which is a sister city to Martakert in Artsakh, has adopted a resolution, calling on the French government to recognize the Republic of Artsakh and to establish diplomatic relations with its authorities.

In late November, the French Senate recognized the independence of the Republic of Artsakh with a vote of 305 to 1. The measure urged the French government to follow suit.
