Soldier in Turkey under investigation over video of himself singing in Kurdish

Turkish officials have launched an investigation into video footage of a man singing in Kurdish during his time in mandatory military service, Birgün newspaper reported on Wednesday, December 23, according to Ahval.

The man, identified as F.P., is accused of "leaking confidential information" over the video, where he is seen singing at a military facility in uniform, it said.

The man posted on social media the video of himself singing in Kurdish during his time in the army in the south central province of Adana. The video has received thousands of hits.

Men over 18 in Turkey are required to fulfil military service for a period of six months, with few exceptions.
