Azerbaijan returns bodies 30 Armenian troops to Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani side has handed over the remains of 30 Nagorno-Karabakh troops to the Armenian side, the Karabakh authorities reported Sunday, January 24.

All the bodies are unrecognizable, a forensic examination has been ordered to identify them, Karabakh's State Emergency Service said. The Azerbaijani side, meanwhile, has failed to inform the Armenian side in which parts of the zone of hostilities the remains were discovered.

1281 bodies were recovered between November 13 to January 23. Search and rescue operations continue in Jrakan (Jabrail), Varanda (Fizuli) and Hadrut regions.
