On February 1, the Center for Humanitarian Demining is planning to neutralize ammunition in the Martuni region and nearby settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh, the State Emergency Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

Sappers will be searching for unexploded ordnance in the city of Martakert, the village of Varnkatagh and nearby settlements. Ammunition disposal works are also possible.

After the recent 44-day war in Karabakh, unexploded ordnance has remained across Artsakh. During the war, Azerbaijan used cluster munitions against the civilians of Artsakh. The sappers have been clearing mines for 2 months now.
