Karabakh resumes search for bodies of Karabakh war victims

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nagorno-Karabakh rescue teams have resumed the search for the bodies and remains of servicemen killed in the 44-day war in fall 2020.

The employees of Karabakh's State Service for Emergency Situations will conduct search and rescue operations in Varanda (Fizuli) on Wednesday, February 10. The process was suspended in the past two days due to shift changes in the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the Azerbaijani army.

Since November 13, the Nagorno-Karabakh rescue teams have found the bodies and remains of 1367 people, including dozens of civilians, who had failed to leave their homes when their settlements went under Azerbaijan's control.

Family members and parents of missing soldiers are usually participating in the process too.
