Deputy Foreign Minister Artak Apitonian, Yerevan's Ambassador to Iraq Hrachya Poladian, Consul General Arshak Manoukian and a number of Kurdish officials attended the event. Apitonian said that the dynamic relations between Armenia and Iraqi Kurdistan are based on the strong historical ties and friendship of the two peoples. According to him, Armenia has always prioritized the development of relations with Iraqi Kurdistan. The Iraqi authorities, he said, have always been friendly towards the Armenians living in the country, evidenced by the thousands-strong community living and creating in the country very day.
