Aliyev calls Armenian POWs held in Baku "terrorists, saboteurs"

Aliyev calls Armenian POWs held in Baku

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said Baku has returned all Armenian prisoners of war to Yerevan, TASS reports, although extensive evidence suggests otherwise.

“We have returned all the prisoners of war we had. And we returned them earlier than ours were returned to us. The people [currently held by Azerbaijan] do not fall into this category, they are terrorists and saboteurs, and any speculation from Armenia or some countries is inappropriate," Aliyev said in an interview with foreign media on Friday, February 26.

According to data provided by the Armenian side, at least 140 Nagorno-Karabakh prisoners of war are being kept in Azerbaijan.
