Turkey starts assembling Bayraktar drones for Ukraine

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey is already assembling a new batch of Bayraktar TB2 drones for Ukraine, lawmaker from the Servant of the People bloc Ihor Kopytin said in a Facebook post.

The MP, together with the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Mironyuk and Commander of the Navy Oleksiy Neizhpapa, visited the Baykar defense company in Istanbul to inspect the progress of the UAV production.

“Together with our colleagues, we are once again convinced that the Turkish side steadfastly adheres to its obligations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Kopytin wrote.

According to earlier reports, in 2019, Kiev, a manufacturer of technology used in Bayraktar Akinci drones, bought six TB2 combat UAVs for $69 million, and is planning to purchase another 48 and launch a joint production in Ukraine.
